There is a lot in the news about lockdowns and school closures due to Covid-19 so we thought we should clarify.
Artistic Roller Skating is considered an organised sport and therefore:
– skaters are able to attend our sessions even if they live in an area that has a local lockdown.
– the “rule of 6” does not apply to our sessions. (although we will continue to keep our “bubbles” small)
A skater should not attend a session if:
– they or a member of their household has symptoms of, or has tested positive for Covid-19.
– they have been told to self-isolate due to a case at school or because they have returned from a country on the Government’s quarantine list.
Please let us know if this does happen. Usually, we allow a skater to come to another class to make up for the lost class but at the moment this is not always possible as we are trying to keep our “bubbles” apart. If we can’t manage this at the moment, we will try our hardest to give catch-up sessions when things have returned to normal.
Please be aware we may need to cancel a class at very short notice if one of our skaters or coaches has symptoms/tested positive for covid-19.
